چکیده

The research enterprise towards achieving high-performance hollow-core photonic crystal fibers has led to impressive advancements in the latest years. Indeed, using this family of becomes nowadays an overarching strategy for building a multitude optical systems ranging from beam delivery devices sources and sensors. In most applications, effective single-mode operation is desired and, as such, fiber microstructure or light launching setups are typically designed such behavior. Alternatively, one can identify use large-core multimode promising avenue development new devices. Thus, manuscript, we propose demonstrate utilization tubular-lattice accomplishing speckle-based displacement sensor, which been built up by inserting suitably dislocating inside void core hollow fiber. work reported herein encompasses both simulation experimental studies on evolution intensity distributions within device well demonstration sensor with estimated resolution 0.7 μm. We understand that investigation identifies opportunity employment sensing framework hence widening gamut applications fibers.

Gas Sensor Based on Large Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fiber

One concern in using photonic band-gap fiber (PBGF) as a gas sensor is the response time. In this type of the gas sensors, response time is the time required for gas to diffuse into the hollow-core. So considering a large hollow-core PBGF (HC-PBGF), the response time can be significantly reduced. But in the large HC-PBGF, the fundamental issue is the presence of higher order modes (HOMs). Somet...

Micro-Displacement Sensor Based on a Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber

A sensing head based on a hollow-core photonic crystal fiber for in-reflection measurement of micro-displacements is presented. The sensing structure takes advantage of the multimodal behavior of a short segment of hollow-core photonic crystal fiber in-reflection, being spliced to a single mode fiber at its other end. A modal interferometer is obtained when the sensing head is close to a mirro...

Synthesize and Characterization of Hollow and Core/Shell Based on CeO2 as a Alcohol Sensor

In this study, CeO2 hollow spherical nanoparticles, CeO2/SiO2 @ CeO2 core/shell composites, and hollow CeO2/SiO2 sensors were synthesized and their microstructures were researched byFT-IR, XRD, FESEM, EDX and BET analyses. The peaks observed in the FT-IR spectra of the synthesizedsamples corresponded to Ce-O stretching vibration (ca. 566 cm-1) and O-Si-O bendingvibration (ca. 470 cm-1). XRD diff...

Fiber-Optic Point-Based Sensor Using Specklegram Measurement

Here, we report a fiber-optic point-based sensor to measure temperature and weight based on correlated specklegrams induced by spatial multimode interference. The device is realized simply by splicing a multimode fiber (MMF) to a single-mode fiber (SMF) with a core offset. A series of experiments demonstrates the approximately linear relation between the correlation coefficient and variation. F...

Multiplexed displacement fiber sensor using thin core fiber exciter.

This letter reports a multiplexed optical displacement sensor using a thin core fiber (TCF) exciter. The TCF exciter is followed by a stripped single mode optical fiber. A small section of buffer is used as the movable component along the single mode fiber. Ultra-weak cladding mode reflection (< - 75 dB) was employed to probe the refractive index discontinuity between the air and buffer coating...
